Saudi Budget Airline Lainched in Pakistan
Pakistan’s aviation scene just got a new player! Flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s budget-friendly airline, has officially launched its operations in the country, offering travelers more options for affordable flights between Pakistan and the Kingdom.
A Grand Arrival in Karachi
Flyadeal’s inaugural flight, F3-661, from Riyadh touched down at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Saturday morning at 8:04 AM. The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute, marking the airline’s first-ever scheduled commercial service in Pakistan.
Flight Schedule and Future Expansion
Flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudia, has started with regular flights on the following routes:
- Riyadh to Karachi – Every Thursday
- Jeddah to Karachi – Every Saturday
But this is just the beginning. The airline has ambitious plans to expand across Pakistan, adding cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, and Sialkot to its network in the near future.
Why Pakistan? Strong Demand & Competitive Fares
Flyadeal’s leadership sees Pakistan as a key market, and for good reason. Millions of Pakistanis live and work in Saudi Arabia, while religious tourism for Hajj and Umrah fuels frequent travel between the two nations.
Farooq S. Ahmad, Flyadeal’s Head of Sales, emphasized this strong demand, saying, “In the Pakistani market, Saudi Arabia is probably the number one destination.” The airline aims to provide budget-friendly yet quality travel experiences for expatriates, business travelers, and religious pilgrims.
A Fully Booked Start
Though Flyadeal operates on a low-cost model, its services cater to travelers from all walks of life. The first Karachi-Riyadh flight was at full capacity with 186 passengers, and upcoming flights are already sold out—a promising start for the airline’s operations in Pakistan.
What This Means for Travelers
With Flyadeal’s entry into Pakistan’s aviation sector, travelers can now access affordable flights, more choices, and increased connectivity between the two countries. Whether for work, family visits, or religious trips, the new airline is set to make travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia easier and more budget-friendly.
As Flyadeal spreads its wings across more Pakistani cities, the country’s air travel industry is in for an exciting new chapter!
