Two Iranian Supreme Court Judges Assassinated in Tehran

In a shocking incident on Saturday, two Supreme Court judges in Iran were shot dead outside the court in Tehran, as reported by the judiciary's Mizan news agency. Another judge and a bodyguard were also injured in the attack, which concluded with the assailant taking his own life.

The judges who were killed have been identified as Ayatollah Mohammad Moghiseh and Ayatollah Ali Razini. The motive for the attack is still unclear, but Moghiseh has been previously associated with cases involving political prisoners, according to opposition websites.

This shooting represents a rare and violent act targeting high-ranking members of Iran’s judiciary. Authorities have not yet released additional information about the incident or whether it may have political or personal motivations.
